What an awful view this is ha ha. This is driving down one of the main roads here in town and in the distance you can see a much better view of Mt Hood than I got on our way into the city last week. Well I *could* have had that skirt done but I decided to move up onto the wing instead. The color at the base of the skirt is the same as the one on the wing tips and I'm very low on this color. A bit more done on my Linen Band Sampler. I fail to understand the color choices on this piece, there are 20+ colors and I keep stitching bands of varying shades of beige blah! From the Just Cross Stitch Ornament Issue 2004, Christmas Ornament 2004 by Periwinkle Promises. Finished the last few beads this morning and what a chore THAT was. Twister is back out now that Baroque is completed and it is again reminding me why stitching it is so discouraging. Yes I've been absent lately. Alot has been going on that has kept me away from my computer and stitching so I haven't had much to post about anyway. The pups have been a handful, Lizzie feels better every day and has gotten into all sorts of mischief, Indy has had some issues that needed to be addressed as well so I wanted to get them sorted out sooner rather than later.I was just like to grump

Things have still not fully settled down around here. I seem to be going in a dozen directions and not getting anything done. Needless to say I'm not getting a lot of stitching done to be able to post photos. The dogs have also been taking up a good amount of my time. Well here is Miss Lizzie in her new coat. I did the final bits of it this morning and put it on to see how I did with the velcro closures (which I found I'll have to adjust a bit) and she was immediately not so impressed. Then as long as she had it on I took her outside for one last time before I went to work and she must have understood what the point of it was because she stopped fussing

Here is my current status on Baroque. I had planned to have this done this month but I didn't quite make it. It didn't help that I spent half the day Saturday looking for the blue silk thread that somehow grew legs and walked into the sewing room/office instead of being with my project in the living room. I haven't a clue what happened there, for a bit I thought Lizzie had decided to check it out

Here is the promised photo of my ornament from the exchange on Wednesday. Mine was an Indigo Rose from JCS Ornament Issue "Silent Night" In my rush to have it done and be do everything else for the holidays I forgot to take a picture of it and I didn't realize it until after it had left my hands at dinner, oh well. I have one on my tree as well so its not like I don't know what it looks like ;)

Well that's what yesterday was "supposed" to be. A group of us made up of current and past EGA members meet at the LNS and stitch during the day and it ends with a nice dinner out and an ornament exchange. Stitching did not really describe what we did though ;) We arrived around 10:30 and chatted with everyone talking about the holidays. I got Poirot out and then spotted Pampered Chef

Not a lot new in the realm of stitching for Christmas this year, here are the few things I did get. On the left is a pincushion, the base is a piece of pottery with a nice handle on it as you can see. Then there is a hat pin. The likely will be a nice decoration as something this long is not the best idea for me to be counting out canvas with. It will sound like a bad rework of 'A Christmas
